Creating talented Workforce for the Healthcare sector

Hospital Administration - Charnock Healthcare Institute
Hospital Administration
Hospital Administrators are individuals or groups of people who act as the central point of control within hospitals. They ensure that specific outcomes are attained, that departments within a health facility are running smoothly, that the right people are in the right jobs, that people know what is expected of them, that resources are used efficiently and that all departments are working towards a common goal. Hospital Administrators provide the administrative framework on which the entire hospital functions are carried on.

Hospital Administration
Health Management is among the top ten millennium professions according to a recent US survey. As healthcare management is becoming increasingly privatized, there is a greater need for not only skillful doctors but also efficient hospital administrators.

If hospitals have always fascinated you and you have an empathic nature along with a flair for organisation and an eye for detail then you can consider a career in Hospital Management. A large number of private hospitals and clinics have come up all over the country. With increasing emphasis on quality of health care and patient satisfaction there is a tremendous need for persons with a professional qualification in Hospital Management. No we have ordinary hospitals, specialty hospitals and even super specialty hospitals depending upon the kinds of services they render to the public and the number of people they cater to, on an average. For the smooth functioning of a hospital, qualified professionals are required. Hospital Management courses are not only for the medical graduates but are also open to
non-medical or non-science graduates. One can find employment in large corporate and public sector hospitals, international and national healthcare organizations and health insurance companies, College and Universities, Healthcare Portals, Nursing Homes, Mental Health Facilities, Pharmaceuticals and Hospital Supply Firms, Medical Software Companies and Hospital Consulting Firms.

Big hospitals like Apollo Hospital, Woodlands Hospital, Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital, Belle Vue, NH, Medica Synergie, Columbia Asia, AMRI, Charnock Hospital etc. appoint hospital management graduates for their administration purposes. Experienced and senior hospital administrators can eventually reach the levels of CEOs in their respective organizations. Charnock Healthcare Institute (CHI) is synonymous for quality management education with focus on imparting skills for life. The students get individual attention from faculty for great learning experience. Consider CHI for great infrastructure, intellectual faculty and all round exposure at our very own Charnock Hospital.

Our USP is the hands on training and practical work done at our own Hospital.

It has been a proud privilege to be associated with Charnock Healthcare Institute and possess the portfolio of "Principal - Hospital Management" with Charnock Institute of Hospital Management.
I am into Hospital Administration for more than two decades now and have been associated with Charnock Hospital since quite some time. As per my experience with the fresh Hospital Administration Graduates, they usually do not have any practical knowledge as such and as a result, land up into trouble after passing out.

Besides following the WBUHS curriculum, Charnock Healthcare Institute's target has always been to train the 'would-be Hospital Managers' practically... having Charnock Hospital as the 'Mother
Hospital', our students are constantly motivated and forced to know the job on site… to solve problems on their own at our Hospital.
