We started the 3 years GNM course with the affiliation of INC & WBNC from the session 2011 under Charnock Hospital with an annual intake of 30 students followed by enhancement of 20 & 10 seats from the years 2012 & 2014 consecutively. At present annual intake is 70 seats. The first batch of GNM students have successfully passed out in the year 2015. The school is having its own building with centralised A.C, 10 lecture halls, 7 Laboratories, A.V. aids & faculty rooms, H.O.D rooms, conference rooms and multipurpose hall with other physical facilities. All laboratories are well equipped. The examination is as per curriculum of the Indian Nursing Council & West Bengal Nursing Council. The clinical experiences are completed at parent & the affiliated hospitals are as follows:

The students participate in various cultural programs, sports, S.N.A activities, Swaraswati puja, picnic, conferences, workshops & educational tours etc. The faculties & students won the prizes in the state level competition organized by the S.N.A & T.N.A.I unit.
The library is equipped with various Indian and international journals namely American Journals of Nursing, Mental Health Practice, Advanced Emergency Nursing Journals.
The students & faculty members are adequately rewarded for the excellence in their curricular & co-curricular activities and a video film is prepared about the school activities. We really hope that many of our beloved students will receive "Florence Nightingale Award" from our respected President in near future.

70 seats at Charnock School of Nursing under Charnock Healthcare Institute affiliated by INC & WBNC. This Diploma is valid for all Government Hospitals/Nursing Homes, PHC's in all the global area.
The Clinical Area for Practical Experience:
The Charnock School of Nursing is affiliated to the State Medical Colleges & Hospitals, Hospitals of District level, Block Primary Health Centre, Municipal Hospital for a wide range of exposure in practical field for extensive training of the students of Charnock School of Nursing.
The Community Area for Practical Experience:
Rural & Urban Area at Reckjoani Block Primary Health Centre & Rajarhat - Gopalpur Municipality.
The students have to pay their own registration fees to the W.B.N.C. through the Institution.
Admission Criteria
Eligibility Criteria: (Subject to Approval of INC & WBNC)
1. Age:
The Candidate must be between the ages of 17 to 27 years, as on 31st  December of the same year of the session.
2. Nationality:
Shall be a citizen of India. Shall be a resident of West Bengal uninterruptedly for at least five years preceding the date of 31st  December of the same year of the session the application for admission to the training school. The domicile certificate should be in the prescribed format of a1, a2, b0.
3. Marital Status:
Married/unmarried/widow/divorcee/separated all are eligible.
4. Education:
Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or equivalent.
Higher Secondary Certificate & Mark sheet from a Recognized board/Council with minimum 40% marks in aggregate.
5. Instructions:
I) Marks obtained in- the vocational or additional subjects will not be considered.
II) Applications are to be made in candidates own handwriting as per proforma.
III) All the columns are to be filled up properly.
IV) Application should be accompanied by self-attested Photo copy of all the documents.
The following documents to be submitted -
1) Mark sheet of Higher Secondary examination or equivalent examination.
2) Age proof certificate – Admit card or Certificate of Madhyamik examination or equivalent examination.
3) Two recent self-signed passport size photographs in which one is to affixed on the top right hand corner of the application form.
4) Application must be submitted To The Principal of Charnock School of Nursing. Candidate should be medically fit & has to produce medical fitness certificate by a Govt. Medical officer while taking admission in GNM training course.
6. Hostel:
Hostel is available for all the Students. Hostel would be provided with accommodation, in lieu of hostel charges. Food to be provided in lieu of mess charges & charges may be vary subject to the market price.
7. Admission Procedure:
From this current year (2021) Govt of West Bengal is going to shoulder the responsibility of admission to all nursing courses. Dept. of health bestowed the responsibility to WBJEEB. All examination is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. All merit list is published which is followed by an online counselling process. After the counselling process, the individual candidate will get an allotment of a seat in college according to her Merit and choice. No management quota is available.
8. Uniform:
The uniform is compulsory to be worn in the institute as well as during clinical works in the hospital & Community.
9. Vacations & Holidays:
(Rules laid down by the West Bengal Nursing)
Annual vacation 30 days per year.
Sick Leave 10 days per annum.
Preparatory Leave 7 days per annum.
10. Examination Fees:
The students have to pay their examination fees to the West Bengal Nursing council through the head of the Charnock School of Nursing. A Candidate shall be eligible for admission to the examination as the rules laid down by the West Bengal Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council.
11. Registration:
The students who are declared successful in the final year examination are eligible for registration with the W.B.N.C. as Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife. After completing their period of training students should obtain "No Due Certificate" and the students have to pay their own registration fees to the W.B.N.C. through the Institution.

B.Sc Nursing is a 4 years degree course. Through this course the students are trained to practice the current concept of nursing and gain complete knowledge in various aspects of nursing and can provide a holistic care to the patients and also to their families. B.Sc Nursing students are mostly preferred for the specialized positions in different hospitals. There is a great demand of B.Sc nursing qualified personnel in the healthcare sectors both Public and Private.

Admission Criteria
1.The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of Admission (only female candidate).

2.The minimum educational requirement shall be the passing of Higher Secondary Examination or Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English) with minimum of 45% aggregate marks. In case of reserved candidates aggregate marks should be 40% and above and should pass each subject theory and practical separately.

3.The Candidate has to qualify through JENPAUH examination.

4.The final selection will be conducted by central selection committee (Nursing)
